Here’s the truth: We love what we do, and it shows in every project. At The Custom Deck Guys, we’re not about cookie-cutter designs—we create custom outdoor spaces that are built for the long haul and perfectly suited to your style. We’ve put together some of our favorite projects to give you a glimpse of what we can create for you.
Every project in this gallery started the same way yours probably will — with a homeowner standing in their backyard picturing something better. Maybe it was a worn-out pressure-treated deck that had seen one too many Ohio winters. Maybe it was a flat, unused grass strip behind a newer home just waiting for structure and purpose. Whatever the starting point, what you’re looking at here is the finished result.
We’ve organized this gallery into three categories: Custom Decks, Outdoor Living Structures, and Deck Features. Browse through to get a feel for the range of work we do, and pay attention to the details. The board direction choices, the railing profiles, the way a pergola frames a view or a covered porch changes how a family uses their home year-round. Those details are the product.
Custom Decks:
This is our core service and the section with the most variety. You’ll find wood builds alongside composite installations in Trex, TimberTech, and Deckorators materials. You’ll see ground-level decks, second-story platforms, curved designs, pool surrounds, and multi-level setups that connect a main deck to a lower patio. Every one of these was designed specifically for the home and yard it sits on.
Outdoor Living Structures:
Covered porches, screened enclosures, gazebos, pergolas — these are the projects that transform a yard into a place you actually want to be in the middle of August or on a cool October evening. A well-built pergola adds shade and structure without closing off the sky. A screened porch extends your usable season by weeks on both ends. This section gives you a clear picture of what these structures look like when they’re integrated properly into a home’s architecture rather than just dropped on top of a slab.
Deck Features:
Cable railing, deck lighting, built-in benches, planter boxes, stair construction — the add-ons that take a functional deck and make it genuinely enjoyable. Some of these features show up alongside larger builds in the other categories, but this section puts them front and center so you can evaluate the craftsmanship up close.
We’re here to help you create the outdoor space you’ve been imagining. Reach out today to request your estimate, and let’s get your project moving—no stress, just solid craftsmanship.
